This painting represents a calm atmosphere and inner peace. A balanced composition with soft colors combined on a white canvas. The result is positive emotions and good times.
Painting this, I was open to the brilliant-fresh perspectives that come when I do the work of pause and play. Trying to depict what should appear as a calm atmosphere, gold foil rain hurtling through the sky, and other color-magic, falling shapely from the sky. This piece is indeed poetry in motion.
Using a thick build up of paint firstly on the canvas, I have then gone on to create what seems like a burning sky with sunlight bursting through the atmosphere. Against the deliberately surreal colors of the atmosphere, I chose to add vibrant turquoise blooms of colors. Consider amongst this the dark finely outlined colors of nature and the splashes of delicious sun-dappled color also, which gives the art a sunny aura.
I enjoy exploring the more abstract ways of depicting the atmosphere; in this piece, I also played with the idea of strata/layers of color to suggest the sky and cloudscape. An eye-catching take on the atmosphere! The photo doesn’t do justice to the thick depth in this art. It will keep your living room or bedroom popping.
